# Pacer and Warp

Warp is a terminal app with completions built in; Pacer adds an autocomplete popover to the terminal you already use: Ghostty, iTerm2, or Terminal.

## In short

Warp is a terminal app with its own completions and AI features. Its completions work only inside Warp. Pacer is not a terminal: it adds a popover to the terminal you already use, Ghostty, iTerm2, or Terminal.

## Where they differ

- **Your terminal**: With Warp you switch terminals. With Pacer you keep yours, with its settings, fonts, and key bindings.
- **Inside Warp**: Pacer does not run in Warp. Warp has its own completions, so Pacer stays out of its way.
- **Local only**: Pacer has no AI, no account, and no telemetry, and makes no network calls while you type.

## Which to choose

If you already use and like Warp, keep its completions. If you prefer Ghostty, iTerm2, or Terminal, Pacer brings completions to them.
